Chemical storage selection should start from medium name, concentration, vapor behavior, foam risk, tank height, process temperature, pressure condition, wetted material and hazardous-area requirement. Ultrasonic can be economical for compatible day tanks, but it should not be chosen from range alone.
For ultrasonic options, WELK checks whether the vapor space gives a stable acoustic path and whether PTFE, PVDF or PP exposed parts are enough for the chemical environment. Heavy vapor, condensation, dense foam, crystallization or pressure fluctuation can push the selection toward radar, guided wave radar, hydrostatic or magnetic gauge products.
Explosion-proof and external ultrasonic products need separate review. The hazardous-area document requirement, tank wall material, wall thickness, lining, mounting position and acoustic coupling must be confirmed before WELK recommends a final model or quotation package.
