Silo & Powder Level

Bulk solids level selection starts from silo height, diameter, cone geometry, filling point, dust load, material dielectric and whether inventory volume or only continuous level is required.

80 GHz silo radar is normally reviewed before ultrasonic in dusty, tall or long-range silos. Air purge is added only when dust or buildup can cover the antenna and a clean purge-air source is available.

For overfill protection, continuous radar can be paired with rotary paddle, vibrating rod or fork point switches. For uneven surfaces or volume inventory, a 3D silo scanner may be reviewed instead of a single radar point.
