Corrosion-resistant ultrasonic level meters are used when the buyer wants non-contact measurement on a compatible chemical tank but needs better material resistance than a standard plastic sensor.
The product can be configured with PTFE, PVDF or PP exposed parts depending on the chemical. WELK does not select by chemical name alone; concentration, temperature, vapor, condensation and gasket material also matter.
Because ultrasonic signals travel through the gas space above the liquid, aggressive vapor can affect both measurement reliability and instrument life. In difficult chemical service, WELK may recommend radar, guided radar, hydrostatic or magnetic gauge alternatives.
The RFQ should include chemical name, concentration, tank height, nozzle dimensions, normal temperature, vapor condition, output signal and any hazardous-area requirement.
