How it is selected & specified.
The integrated ultrasonic level meter measures liquid level by sending an acoustic pulse from the tank top and calculating distance from the echo time. It is a practical choice for water tanks, wastewater pits, open basins, reservoirs and compatible chemical storage where the vapor space is reasonably stable.
This product is best used when the tank top is accessible and operators can read or configure the local display at the instrument. For deep pits, remote panels or relay-heavy pump control, the split ultrasonic page is usually a better match.
The most important engineering checks are blind zone, maximum fill level, nozzle height, beam angle, surface turbulence, foam and condensation. A clear vertical sound path is more important than simply choosing the longest range.
WELK supplies the product as a configured family rather than a single fixed specification. The quotation can include 4-20 mA, relay alarm, RS-485 Modbus, local display, thread or flange adaptor and corrosion-resistant exposed materials when the application requires them.
